BBQ in Honor of Visiting Crew

A BBQ for the visiting crew members of the USS Jefferson City (SSN759) was held on Monday evening, September 1, 2003 at the local Coca-Cola Community Center on Washington Street. Due to the rainy weather, the Vogel family made the center available for the BBQ. A very special thanks to Florence and Dean Lawson, Jim and Kathy Haynes, and Danny and Gerry DeLong, who hosted the BBQ. Many veterans and their families were in attendance to honor the crew members, and the veterans were recognized individually and roundly applauded by those present.
