 Chief of the Boat CMDCM Clements (SS/DV)

Master Chief Clements was born in Rochester, New York. He is a 1980 graduate of Avon Central High School in Avon, New York and a graduate of the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy Class 116, Newport, RI. He enlisted June 1980 and reported to basic training at Recruit Training Center, San Diego, CA. He has attended Basic Enlisted Submarine School Groton CT, Submarine Machinist Mate Auxiliaryman Course Charleston SC, and Enginemen “A” and “C” Schools along with Fleet Diesel Inspector Course, at Fleet Training Center, Great Lakes, IL. He is certified as a Navy SCUBA Diver at Little Creak VA.
Sea Duty assignments include: USS DARTER (SS 576), USS BONEFISH (SS 582), USS DOLPHIN (AGSS 555) and USS HELENA (SSN 725).
Shore Duty Assignments include: Staff, Submarine Squadron One, Pearl Harbor, HI and Submarine Squadron Eleven, San Diego, CA (two tours).
Awards include: the Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3 awards), Navy & Marine Corps Achievement medal (5 awards), Navy Expeditionary Medal, Good Conduct Medal (6 awards), National Defense Service Medal (2 awards), and Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. Additionally he is authorized the Navy Battle “E” ribbon with wreath, Korean Defense Service Medal, Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (4 awards), and the Arctic Service Ribbon.
Master Chief Clements qualified Submarine Warfare in 1982 and is entitled to wear the Enlisted Submarine Silver Dolphins, the Deep Submergence Pin and Scuba Diver Insignia.
Master Chief Clements is married to Colleen of Ely, Minnesota. They have two daughters, Jenelle, who is a graduate of University California Riverside, and Ashlee who attends San Diego City Community College and a son, Kenny, in San Diego High School.
